I got this recipe in the 90s from a former co-worker. It was her contribution to our insurance company office party. She called it a bundt cake and left it at that, until I asked for the recipe. She whispered “…the real name for it is “Better-Than-Sex-Cake,” and swore me to office secrecy. I wasn’t a big cake person, until I had this one. Better Than Sex Cake
Serves/Makes: 12 | Difficulty Level: 2 | Ready In: 30-60 minutes
1 package yellow cake mix
1 package instant vanilla pudding and pie filling mix
8 ounces sour cream
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup water
1 bar German chocolate squares — grated
6 ounces chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Mix cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, sour cream, oil, and water together; beat with electric mixer until smooth. Add chocolate, chocolate chips, and pecans. Pour batter into greased and floured Bundt pan. Bake at 325F for 55 minutes. Use toothpick to check for doneness. Let cool; remove from pan. Keep tightly covered for freshness.
